Overall strawberry quality is optimum out of all areas, and volume will continue to increase throughout May. Good color, size and texture are arriving at the coolers daily. Blueberry quality from all areas is excellent with Mexico, Georgia and Florida holding a slight edge in size and overall quality. Peru is beginning to see a decline in numbers coming very near to the end of their season.

In its latest effort to enrich lives in the community it serves, Midwest retailer Meijer announced a $3 million donation today to the Joan Secchia Children's Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint partnership between Mary Free Bed Rehabilitation and Corewell Health Helen DeVos Children's Hospital. The donation will help fund the construction of this new facility, bringing more innovative care for young patients who have experienced a life-changing injury or illness.
