When the calendar hits mid-June, all eyes in the produce industry turns to the Eastern Shore, as farmers are readying crops like cabbage, green beans, potatoes, sweet corn and more.

The Eastern Shore companies will start shipping produce at the end of June and go through the month of July, filling the important time slot between North Florida’s end and Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Massachusetts and the others that don’t start harvesting until late July.

The National Symposium will be hosted at the Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square from August 1-5 of 2022, with tours exploring into the surrounding areas.

With the help of their members the National Garden Bureau created an article entitled “Top 10 plants for pollinator-friendly containers” which has earned well over 1,000 placements in news outlets such as the LA Times, Houston Chronicle, San Francisco Gate, Chicago Tribune and New York Daily News, to name a few. Those online placements have, thus far, reached 209 million consumers with print placements reaching another 652,000 readers.
