RBest and El Sol Brands excited to share a booth at the New York Produce Show
RBest Produce Inc., headquartered in Port Washington, NY, and its sister company, El Sol Brands, headquartered in Medley, FL, will be exhibiting together at Booth No. 574 at the New York Produce Show at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center North Hall in Manhattan, Dec. 2-4.
“This is the fourth year that RBest Produce has had the pleasure of participating in the New York Produce Show,” said Jasmine Hines, director of marketing and advertising. “Every year it is good to be amongst our peers, to see new innovative products and to engage with those in the industry.”
She added that it is great to attend the show, especially given the relevance within the produce industry. As the industry changes daily, the show provides a great review of the last year, and a forecast of the year to come.
“The timing of the show falls at a peak of the holiday buying season,” Hines added. “I think this is a great time to promote holiday items as well as items that are trending for the next coming year.”
At the show, RBest Produce will introduce its new dried fruit and nut’s line, “We R Nuts!” which offers top-quality gourmet candies, dried fruits, dried vegetables and a full-line of flavored and natural nuts.
“Through El Sol Brands, we are also promoting a line of PLU pre-managed tropicals, which is a premium size product to help retailers increase their margins by reducing their shrink,” said Luis Perez, accounts manager for El Sol Brands.
In October, RBest Produce and El Sol Brands’ Port Washington, NY, warehouse facility achieved the distinction of Primus Global Food Safety Certification.
“Also in October, RBest and El Sol celebrated their first year anniversary operating from the newly built warehouse facility,” said Hines. “We started preparing for Primus GFS certification as soon as construction began. RBest maintains strict safety standards and has spent the last year perfecting company procedures.”
The RBest warehouse is constructed with the latest refrigeration technologies. It spans approximately 70,000 square feet and is built with the focus of being environmentally friendly.
“Our facility is fully equipped to support quality fresh produce direct from growers, and will expand with an additional 20,000 square feet of refrigerated space in the year 2015,” said Philip DelPrete, president of RBest Produce. “We are committed to food safety and to providing the utmost quality assurance for our customers and for the community. In 2015, RBest Produce plans to expand our warehouse an additional 20,000 square feet of refrigerated space to continuously better serve fresh and healthy produce to the communities of the Northeast.”
El Sol Brands lays claim to being the largest importer of tropicals to the United States. RBest Produce’s mission is to become the premier produce supplier in the Northeast by fulfilling all of its customers’ needs with offerings of the highest possible quality produce, unwavering reliability and superior customer service.
“Our top priorities are sourcing and delivering only the freshest fruits and vegetables, strategic merchandising and convenience so we can help our customers’ businesses grow,” said Hines. “We’re committed to exceeding expectations at all levels of the industry so that each and every person — from the grower to the consumer — is fully satisfied.
“Our vision is to ensure that quality and service are synonymous with the RBest name,” she continued. “Customers will experience a dedicated sales team that caters to each customer’s needs, buyers constantly sourcing the best produce at the right time of the year and merchandisers on site to help them sell more produce — all working together with one goal in mind: complete customer satisfaction.”
