Nathaniel Foster joined the New York Apple Association as account and event manager.  He brings 20 years of experience in the grocery industry in retail purchasing and store operations, customer service, and sales and account management.

Foster has more than 15 years of experience managing grocery and produce departments and store operations for several independent natural food grocers, with extensive experience in product sourcing and inventory purchasing and replenishment. 

Buurma Farms grows approximately 30 different crops on approximately 2,500 acres on its farms in Gregory, MI, and Willard, OH. This includes radishes, beets, lettuce, parsley, southern greens, sweet corn, green onions and celery.  

The weather is getting warmer (sort of), and as we all know, warmer weather brings cherries. 

According to Mark Campbell, founder and CEO of ProduceIQ, cherries from California are beginning their season at $70 per 16-pound case for 11-row size. He said the larger cherries, 10-row, are trading for around $78, and the smaller size, 12-row, can be had for $32.
