Will Floral Demand Continue to Grow in the US? 

This past weekend, Canadians across the country placed gorgeous blooms into their home gardens and outdoor spaces. For those in Western Canada, there’s a good chance the stunning florals they purchased at their local Walmart Garden Centre are from Rainbow Greenhouses, based in Chilliwack, British Columbia.

Like many of Walmart Canada’s nearly 2,100 Canadian suppliers, Rainbow Greenhouses is family-owned and operated.

Homegrown Organic Farms introduced its Regenerative Organic Certified stone fruit program. As a part of the company’s ongoing commitment to caring for the land and the people they encounter, this program provides third-party recognition to support its efforts.

Walmart Inc. and Symbotic LLC announced an expanded commercial agreement to implement Symbotic’s robotics and software automation platform in all 42 of Walmart’s regional distribution centers over the coming years. This is an expansion of Walmart’s partnership with Symbotic.

Norma McClain has joined Grow Farms Texas as a member of its sales and marketing team in McAllen, TX. As an account sales team member, McClain will primarily be responsible for growing sales with direct retail and foodservice accounts, but she will also play an integral role in liaising between sales and growers.

As regenerative agriculture is reshaping the production of how food is grown, a panel of large-scale organic growers will discuss their involvement with this new method of growing and what it may mean for the future of organic fresh produce at the sixth annual Organic Produce Summit.
