Starr Ranch Growers is expanding its Emoji character offerings to a new 100 percent recyclable pouch bag.

The recyclable pouch is made of high-density polyethylene plastic.  Recycled HDPE plastics can be used to make plumbing pipes, plastic rope, children’s toys, and a range of other products.  It takes much less energy to create products from recycled plastics such as HDPE than from new plastics, which helps reduce the use of fossil fuels.

The Wellness Experience by Kroger and Jewel will launch with a World Mental Health Day Summit & Concert Oct. 10, featuring artists, business leaders, and mental health experts for a day of inspiration, education, and entertainment. The free live-stream event will shine a light on mindfulness and mental wellness and practices to combat depression and anxiety through personal stories, songs and expert interviews and provide viewers with actionable steps to improve their well-being.

Food Lion Feeds is donating 9.5 million meals to Feeding America partner food banks throughout its 10-state footprint through The Faces of Hope campaign, aimed to help support kids and families impacted by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This widespread, far-reaching effort will impact local communities across Food Lion’s 10-state service area and assist their 30 Feeding America partner food banks in meeting unprecedented demand as a result of the pandemic.

Wonderful Pistachios, a leader in championing whole-food plant-based protein, will host a virtual seminar to further educate the nutrition community about plant protein on Friday, Oct. 9.
