As a Salinas Valley native, this time of year is one of my favorites. Warm evenings, cool mornings and golden sunrises over the hills are what make fall here so special. But even with the beautiful weather, it’s also a signal that the growing season is winding down, and this year it’s shaping up to be one of the more challenging finishes we’ve seen in a while.

That Flower Feeling announced that both Asocolflores and the American Floral Endowment out of their Floral Marketing Fund have reaffirmed their commitment to the campaign, renewing their status as Floral Ambassador contributors ($10,000+ level) for another year.

Braga Fresh, home of Josie’s Organics, announced a portion of its regenerative farming acreage has earned official certification for its regenerative farming program from A Greener World, a respected nonprofit certifier of sustainable agricultural practices.

This is exactly what Stewart Resnick, Chairman, president and co-owner of The Wonderful Company, has accomplished.

In the early 2000s, the fresh produce research and development team at Dole Food Co. had the idea to bring something new to the pineapple category. They envisioned a new variety that offered a different flavor than their traditional pineapples — more indulgent and balanced, possibly with hints of coconut or other exotic ingredients — but was still true to the company’s century-plus legacy of growing all-natural fruit without GMOs.

H-E-B promoted Chief Operating Officer Roxanne Orsak to president, effective January 2026. Orsak will succeed Craig Boyan, who will retire at the end of 2026 after 20 years of leadership. Boyan will transition to a senior advisor role, remaining a member of the board of directors and joining the company’s board oversight and advisory committee. In Orsak’s new role as president and COO, she will report to CEO Howard Butt III.
