The Giumarra Cos. announced that James Paul has joined the company and will handle avocado and asparagus sales.

Mr. Paul will work with Midwest and East Coast customers to implement programs designed to create incremental sales for asparagus and avocados. He will also be coordinating efforts with Giumarra's global supply to provide a seamless continuity of fresh Nature's Partner asparagus throughout the year.

MEGAN GRIM joined Salinas, CA-based Mann Packing’s marketing department as its packing coordinator. This is a new position for Mann Packing and Ms. Grim will report to Christine Keller, director of marketing innovations.

Because of demands from customers, Visalia, CA-based Sierra Agricultural Transportation, Inc., has added several company owned and operated trucks to its list of assets, and is currently in negotiations to add to that fleet.

Chad Lenaburg, who handles sales for destinations ranging from the Midwest to the East Coast said some of the firm’s larger customers want the transportation company that they are doing business with to have “skin in the game” so to speak.

In addition, the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series is a charity fundraising event that raised more than $256 million in 2011.
