The U.S. Department of Agriculture has filed an administrative complaint against Central Market of FL II Inc. for alleged violations of the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act. The company, operating from Sarasota, FL, allegedly failed to make payment promptly to eight produce sellers in the amount of $150,383 from November 2019 through May 2020.

Walmart and DroneUp LLC, a leading global provider of drone technology and services, announced their first multi-site commercial drone delivery operations. The three locations, which will be located at Walmart stores in northwest Arkansas, will operate from 8 a.m. ­to 8 p.m., seven days per week, to deliver items to eligible Walmart customers by air in as little as 30 minutes.

North Carolina Gov. Roy Cooper announced the launch of the Wilmington Midwest Express, the North Carolina Ports Authority’s daily direct rail connection to the Midwest via the Carolina Connector Intermodal Rail Terminal in Rocky Mount, NC.

This new service will supply a key intermodal capability of expediting shipping containers to the Midwest while concurrently reducing customer transit costs and emissions.
