WASHINGTON – U.S. Customs and Border Protection agriculture specialists across the United States are busy tapping and shaking cut flower shipments to ensure Valentine’s Day flowers are safe for the American public.

Floriexpo, the largest high-volume B2B floral expo in North America, uniting floral category vendors with mass market floral buyers from supermarkets, chain stores, wholesale florist distributors, online retailers, retail florists and more returns to the Miami Beach Convention Center from June 7-9, 2022.

ShopRite has been named the Most Trusted Grocery Retailer in the Northeast in a new survey conducted in partnership with Newsweek magazine and the consultancy firm BrandSpark International.

To identify the winners, Newsweek and BrandSpark International surveyed 3,200 U.S. adults nationwide to capture their opinions of grocery stores across the region. Each retailer was judged according to store format and several attributes believed to drive trust, including: Quality, fair prices, recommendation, innovation, customer support, values, transparency, and heritage.

The markets on some vegetables are a bit irregular. Florida has dealt with freezing temperatures that could affect some product for upcoming weeks. Damage is still being assessed on the impact of eggplant, lettuce, corn, beans and other sensitive crops. The markets could be in a fluctuant range for a few weeks.

SpartanNash expanded its partnership with food waste reduction company Flashfood with the addition of 44 Family Fare and VG's Grocery store locations throughout Michigan, Iowa and Nebraska. SpartanNash was the first company to introduce Flashfood in Michigan and Indiana through its pilot program at Family Fare and Martin's Super Markets. The latest expansion brings the first-ever Flashfood locations to stores in Nebraska and Iowa.
