Gwillimdale Farms announced the debut of a brand new and fully automated potato grading system — equipped with artificial intelligence — to its one-stop shop. This new system has multiple different parameters set to meet the required specifications of size, volume, shape, grade and deviation. This investment allows a big move toward sustainable agriculture and the production of reducing food waste for Gwillimdale and its customers.

Last week the Idaho Potato Commission participated in a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the University of Idaho’s College of Agriculture and Life Sciences to officially recognize the opening of the new Seed Potato Germplasm Laboratory. The state-of-the-art facility is critical to maintaining the quality of one of Idaho’s most important agricultural commodities, the potato.

Bobalu Berry Farms continues to celebrate 60 years in business with yet another milestone.  For the first time, the company has offices in the Watsonville/Salinas area.
