Navigating an economic slowdown and high inflation is tricky business. According to The Wall Street Journal, for Karns Foods, a family-run grocer in Mechanicsburg, PA, that means revising what it puts on the shelves — stocking smaller and less expensive items — among other things.
Scott Karns, CEO of the 10-store chain, said the company is also comparing prices with those of its competitors much more often than in the past.
