National Organic Month is celebrated annually in September. This month-long campaign raises awareness of organic farming and production and brings attention to the benefits of organics. Concord Foods is participating in the campaign by promoting organic farming and foods on social media and offering retailers themed National Organic Month floor displays. Retailers are encouraged to create attention-getting displays in produce departments using Concord Foods display and organic fresh fruits and vegetables.

The International Fresh Produce Association formed a new volunteer leadership council focused on controlled environment agriculture. The council will focus on opportunities available within the growing market and will be led by volunteer leader Abby Prior, chief commercial officer at Bright Farms, and IFPA staff liaison Vonnie Estes, vice president of Agfood Tech Innovation

The Produce for Better Health Foundation kicked off its fourth annual National Fruits & Veggies Month — a celebration of everyone’s favorite and flavorful plants — fruits and veggies. With its successful track record reaching more than 100 million social media impressions each year during the month of September since NFVM’s 2019 launch, PBH also marks this month as an opportunity to elevate fruit and vegetable consumption to a national priority.
