NFL star Davante Adams announced his support for Project FoodBox, an organization that sources, packages and distributes boxes of fresh produce directly from farmers to communities in need. The wide receiver will promote the Project Food Box mission to promote access to fresh, nutritious produce in vulnerable populations.

U.S. Customs & Border Protection, Office of Field Operations at the Pharr International Bridge cargo facility intercepted $4.36 million of alleged methamphetamine concealed within a shipment of mixed vegetables on Aug. 4.   

Insights from Allyson Felix, the most decorated American track and field Olympian, entrepreneur and founder of Saysh, will bolster the produce and floral industries’ support for women as part of IFPA’s women’s portfolio and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion efforts. Speaking at the Women’s Fresh Perspectives Breakfast, Saturday, Oct. 21, she is one of The Global Produce & Floral Show keynote speakers.

There are many small juicy and tasty tomatoes that have become very fashionable with shoppers these days. And the varieties and colors have placed them in their own tomato category. These tomatoes are better known as snacking tomatoes.

Stemilt has been awarded the Community Leadership Award by the Washington Association of School Administrators for its partnership with Eastmont High School through Project SEARCH. This award was presented by Wenatchee School District Interim Superintendent Bill Eagle and incoming interim Superintendent Kory Kalahar.
