Industry veteran Giovanni Cavaletto expects GLC Cerritos, a Mexican avocado grower-packer-shipper, to register significant growth in the U.S. market over the next five years as its plantings mature and more groves are certified for exports to the United States.

FloraCraft, the world’s leading manufacturer and marketer of floral and craft foam, announced Steve Carlson will be its new president and CEO. In Carlson’s new role, he will be responsible for strategic direction as well as leading all manufacturing, fabrication, global supply, marketing and account efforts. A 23-year veteran of the company, Carlson previously served as president and chief operating officer, as well as other senior roles during his tenure. 

ALDI has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Winn-Dixie and Harveys Supermarket as part of a larger divestiture of Southeastern Grocers to various entities. The acquisition continues the growth of ALDI, expanding its ability to serve the region with great products at the lowest possible prices. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2024.
