The Northern Plains Potato Growers Association serves more than 200 grower members and 250 potato associate members throughout northwest Minnesota and all of North Dakota, providing legislative, operational and marketing support.

During the Idaho Potato Commission’s November meeting, Mark Duncanson, the director of raw material procurement at Basic American Foods, was sworn in to represent the processor sector of the industry. Brett Jensen of Brett Jensen Farms and Bryan Wada of Wada Farms were appointed chairman and vice chairman, respectively.

Northeast potato shipper, Bushwick Commission has announced a packaging redesign for their popular Guarantee label. The new designs will be featured on Bushwick’s full range of potatoes, including red potatoes, russet potatoes and Yukon gold potatoes, as well as their conventional and premium white potato packaging.

With its promotional gear in overdrive, Potandon Produce is taking its newest Green Giant Fresh product, Minute Mashers, straight to consumers via an “all hands on deck” approach to social media and television, according to Carter Bray, company vice president/general manager of variety potatoes.
