The National Mango Board highlighted that, despite the difficulties caused by the COVID-19 health crisis in 2020, mango consumption in the United States had continued to grow.

Agriculture Secretary Sonny Purdue has appointed seven members to serve the National Mango Board. The appointees include four new members and three returning members. Appointees will serve three-year terms running Jan. 1, 2021 to Dec. 31, 2023, with the exception of one domestic producer appointee whose term will begin immediately and will end Dec. 31, 2021.   

The newly appointed board members include:
