Halloween was a little more exciting this year for World Fresh Produce, as the season’s first shipments of soft citrus from Morocco arrived by the end of October, about three weeks earlier than normal and five weeks earlier than last year.

With pistachios, citrus, pomegranates and Pom Wonderful products leading the charge, The Wonderful Company has a full fall lineup and a bevy of opportunities on tap for consumers and retailers.

During the recent Fresh Summit, The Wonderful Company team sat down with The Produce News, via a video meeting, to discuss its various crops, new offerings and the promotional support it is offering for each of its categories.

Summer is just around the corner, and that means it’s time for citrus from Chile. The Chilean citrus industry is forecasting export volume of 347,000 tons across all categories, which represents a 4 percent increase over 2019. Growth will be driven mainly by mandarins and clementines, with navel volume slightly lower than last year and lemon volume about the same. North America continues to lead as Chile’s primary export market for citrus.
