Strawberries are a year-round anchor of the berry category in U.S. supermarkets, representing nearly two-thirds of the sales volume and more than $3 billion in annual sales.

Wish Farms, an international grower and year-round marketer of strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries, celebrated the grand opening of its new office headquarters with a music festival called PixieRock! on Saturday, April 24.

Hundreds of guests flocked to the physically distant, outdoor event on Wish Farms’ front lawn. The concert featured live performances by Giselle Gutierrez, Atlanta Rhythm Section, BlackHawk and headliner Young the Giant.

Nature Fresh Farms is moving forward in expanding its commodities into the berry category with more acreage dedicated to a strawberry program.

With help from its longstanding growing partner Cielo Vista, the greenhouse grower will be expanding its strawberry farm from one to 16 acres, planned to be completed this fall.

Blueberry demand remains strong with American consumers, and Berry People, a year-round, full-line shipper of branded organic and conventional strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and blackberries, has promotable volumes of high-quality fruit available.

Wish Farms, international grower and year-round marketer of strawberries, blueberries, blackberries and raspberries, held a ribbon cutting on its new headquarters in Plant City, FL, to commemorate the official move to its new 24,000-square-foot office on its 36-acre campus.

“Our company has a 100-year relationship with the community of Plant City. Our connection goes back to our days on the State Farmers Market and beyond,” said Wish Farms’ Owner Gary Wishnatzki. “This is a strawberry town, so keeping our new address here means a lot to our company, employees and growers.”

Main Street Produce, situated in the fertile Santa Maria Valley of California, farms its own product through its sister company, Freshway Farms. The company started off 2021 with some big news regarding its strawberry segment.
