The Vidalia Onion Committee welcomed the 2022 season by announcing the sweet onions are again included on the official menu of the Kentucky Derby. Featured in the Kentucky Derby’s on-site and at-home menus, Vidalia onions add in the sweet and versatile flavor they’re known for to a variety of Derby-worthy dishes.

Save A Lot, one of the largest discount grocery chains in the U.S., announced the appointment of Trey Johnson as its new chief merchandising officer. Johnson will report directly to Save A Lot CEO Leon Bergmann.

As Revol Greens heads into Q2 and continues its growth momentum, the company hired Marketing Director Jessica Dillon, who will spearhead all marketing initiatives in support of propelling the Revol Greens brand forward and extending the reach of its products across the country.

Recent severe weather in the Northwest has raised concerns over the 2022 cherry crop; however, growers remain optimistic. Low temperatures have been recorded across all cherry-growing regions with some districts reporting lower than 30 degrees fahrenheit. Wenatchee, WA, tied a 1986 record of 26 degrees for April as well as a record 16 inches snowfall for April, obliterating the previous record of half an inch. While the unseasonable snow is shocking to say the least, low night temperatures are the major concern.
