Beginning in mid-October, the more than 75-year-old Northern Plains Potato Growers Association is switching things up. It will be known as the Northland Potatoes Growers Association.

Envy has picked up back-to-back awards in The Kitchn’s annual Kitchen Essentials: Grocery Edition awards – as a repeat winner in the Best in Produce 2022 category.

The highly regarded awards recognize the best grocery products in every category, which are selected by editors of popular food and lifestyle media outlet Kitchn.

Sprouts Farmers Market, one of the largest and fastest growing specialty retailers of fresh, natural and organic food in the United States, announced a new partnership with DoorDash to offer on-demand grocery delivery. Customers will be able to order thousands of fresh, natural and organic products from Sprouts by simply visiting the DoorDash mobile app or website, where they can choose to have their groceries delivered on-demand or schedule a delivery for later in the day or week.

With an Idaho potato harvest kick-off during the week of Aug. 8, Idaho Falls, ID-based Wada Farms is seeing what Director of Marketing Eric Beck termed an “unprecedented” market this 2022-23 season.

Beck, who said in mid-September the grower-shipper operation was in “full force harvesting in all growing areas,” commented on current market conditions and demand.
