Oceanside Pole will harvest its season’s first vine-ripened tomatoes at the end of June alongside exclusive marketer Oppy.

New Limeco imports a full line of tropical fruits and vegetables from South and Central America as well as the Caribbean and distribute them to retailers and wholesalers nationwide.

“New Limeco is also one of the largest green skin avocado growers and packers in South Florida,” said Marcela Jacques, sales and marketing manager for the Homestead, FL-based company. “Our tropical category is at the heart of our company, and we pride ourselves on providing fresh, high-quality tropical produce year-round.”

The New Jersey Peach Promotion Council runs its own unique marketing campaign to promote peach purchases and consumption to wholesalers and consumers using digital billboards, press releases, industry advertisements and social media advertising on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

The produce and foodservice industries will unite to share ideas, products and services to advance consumption of fresh produce at The Foodservice Conference. The event, from the International Fresh Produce Association, will take place July 27-28 in Monterey, CA. It features thought leadership, opportunities to connect and an expo that is among the most important five-and-a-half hours in produce foodservice.

The online grocery market finished May with $6.9 billion in total sales, down 3.4 percent compared to last year’s $7.2 billion, according to the latest monthly Brick Meets Click/Mercatus Grocery Shopping Survey. The dip in overall sales was driven by a combination of fewer households buying groceries online during the month than last year and a decline in the average number of orders placed by active shoppers.
