International Fresh Produce Association officially opened its doors on Jan. 1 and the association is quickly making its new name known throughout the industry and within influential circles involved in policy making and consumer media.  

United Fresh Produce Association announced the four recipients of the 2021 Frieda Rapoport Caplan Family Business Scholarships: Joseph F. Basciani of Basciani Foods Inc.; Curtis Griffin of Griffin Ranches Inc.; Lianna Tilton of Braga Fresh Family Farms; and Leticia Velazquez of The FruitGuys.

With its beginnings dating back to the turn of the last century, the United Fresh Produce Association has a rich and storied history of bringing the fresh produce industry together under the same roof on an annual basis to discuss the issues of the day.

Members of the produce industry will join together to make their voices heard at the 2021 annual Washington Conference taking place Sept. 20-22 in person at the Grand Hyatt in Washington, DC.

With California’s continued limitation on conventions and expos of its size, United Fresh is launching Reimagine Connections, a new program bringing members together in-person at smaller regional events, and online for education, networking and innovation events.  Reimagine Connections will deliver:

Marking 17 years of recognizing exceptional retail produce managers, United Fresh Produce Association announced the honorees of its 2021 Retail Produce Manager Awards Program. This year’s cohort of 25 produce managers represents supermarket banners, commissaries and independent retail stores from 21 different states and one Canadian province.
