Mountain King Potatoes has been purchased by EarthFresh Farms, effective Sept. 25.

Established in 1963, EarthFresh is a North American produce company that specializes in potatoes, carrots and onions. With the completion of this transaction, EarthFresh now has nine state-of-the-art packing facilities in Georgia, Texas, Colorado, Ontario and Prince Edward Island.

Bard Valley Natural Delights recently hosted 15 customers from across North America and Australia for its annual Harvest Tour, which took place Sept. 9-11 in Yuma, AZ. The immersive event provided attendees a unique, hands-on experience of the Medjool date harvest, as well as an inside look at the brand's farm-to-shelf process.

In the Gulf of Mexico Hurricane Helene will continue to intensify in the warm gulf waters as it heads toward the Florida panhandle. Water temperatures in the mid to upper 80s in the gulf will help fuel this system before making landfall late Thursday. 

For the fourth consecutive year, Avocados From Mexico is renewing its partnership with Susan G. Komen, the world's leading breast cancer organization. During October, National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Avocados From Mexico is contributing a $100,000 donation to Susan G. Komen and will be turning produce aisles pink with limited-edition displays and branded bags available in participating stores.
