Keith Frosceno leaves Bozzuto's for Supervalu
Keith Frosceno, vice president of produce and floral at Bozzuto's Inc., left that company July 15, and will join Supervalu Inc.
"Keith is a very polished executive and a very knowledgeable guy," Steve Heggelke, senior vice president of merchandising and procurement for Bozzutos, a full-service food distributor based in Cheshire, CT, told The Produce News July 27. Were very happy for him.
The company, which serves more than 400 stores in the Northeast and mid-Atlantic regions of the United States, will not be replacing Mr. Froscenos exact position. Rather, stated Mr. Heggelke, Our goal is to promote from within and name someone probably at the directors level as opposed to the vice presidential level. No timetable has been set to name such as person, and Mr. Heggelke has assumed Mr. Froscenos responsibilities in the interim.
We have a fine staff, a well-seasoned staff who are all more than capable of running things, said Mr. Heggelke. Its really a compliment to Keith that he had assembled such a really good staff.
Supervalu, headquartered in Minneapolis, serves over 1,500 stores in 40 states under a number of banners.
