Started in 1984, New Jersey Department of Agriculture’s Jersey Fresh program is the longest-running state agricultural marketing and quality grading program in the country. For more than four decades, the NJDA Marketing Team has proudly promoted Garden State growers and the high-quality produce they bring to communities across New Jersey each season.

Every year, NJDA provides Jersey Fresh point-of-purchase materials to retail, wholesale and grower partners for in-store and market promotions. Materials include banners, bin wraps, pennants, aprons, hats, price cards and, new for 2026, yard signs. Seasonal advertising campaigns also promote local produce through digital billboards, radio, print advertising and aerial and boat banners along the Jersey Shore.

Jersey Fresh also reaches consumers through social media marketing on Facebook, Instagram, X and Pinterest. These platforms provide a targeted and cost-effective way to connect with audiences through engaging content and interactive experiences. Current campaigns focus on awareness, traffic and conversion objectives, along with boosted posts, to increase reach and impressions, drive traffic to the Jersey Fresh website, and support Jersey Fresh program applications.

The FindJerseyFresh.com website features recipes, product and event information, program details and a searchable directory that helps users locate markets, restaurants, wineries, breweries, wholesalers and more based on location, products or services. The site also includes a directory of growers offering quality local fruits and vegetables throughout New Jersey.

New Jersey agriculture-related businesses — including on-farm markets, CSAs, restaurants, wineries and wholesalers — can create and manage their own profile pages on the site. A simple application allows businesses to submit contact information, hours, products and services, logos and photos to better connect New Jersey farmers with consumers, retailers and fellow ag-businesses seeking the best local produce — Jersey Fresh. Businesses receive a username and password to update their information anytime, including special events and seasonal offerings.
