ShopRite of Hunterdon County opened its first automated micro-fulfillment center, which is designed to enhance its online ShopRite from Home service.

While the pandemic certainly changed the course of the year, it has not altered Stemilt’s efforts to partner with the Washington Apple Education Foundation to award students of local agriculture families scholarships to pursue their secondary education goals.

This year Nature Fresh Farms accepted the PC Fresh Product of the Year Award for its Ontario Greenhouse Mixiany Cherry Tomatoes.

The Kroger Family of Cos. and Ocado announced the continued expansion of their partnership with plans to construct an additional Customer Fulfillment Center in the South region, while also collaborating with Ocado on in-store fulfilment capabilities with a planned rollout across Kroger stores, beginning in 2021.

McCartney Produce, a distributor of fresh produce and specialty food products, joined FreshEdge, a family of produce and specialty food companies, further diversifying the group’s combined customer base and increasing its breadth and depth of service offerings in the Midwest and  Southeast.  McCartney joins  a growing family that  includes  Get  Fresh,  Indianapolis  Fruit,  Piazza Produce & Specialty Foods, Garden Cut, CIBUS Fresh, and Papania’s.

The short story is that markets this fall are looking up for the Nogales deal.
