Early August saw both potatoes and onions from Hailey, ID-based ProSource off to good start to the season after favorable growing seasons and mild harvest weather.

Onion movement has been good throughout the season for Haun Packing in Weiser, ID, with General Manager Herb Haun describing the demand from foodservice as a “pleasant surprise” in the wake of COVID-19.

Haun told The Produce News during the week before Thanksgiving that his operation had been busy as the holidays approached.
