Coming off a 2020 characterized by national demand and record sales, Edible Garden has signed a letter of intent to purchase a facility in Piqua, OH.  

GrubMarket, which is focused on food ecommerce, has completed the acquisition of Bengard Marketing Inc., a longstanding provider of high quality domestic and imported specialty fruits directly from sustainable growers in Chile, Argentina, Peru, New Zealand and the United States. Bengard Marketing has been one of the biggest providers of South American cherries and stone fruits on the West Coast.

Healthy Family Project wrapped 2020 raising $210,780 through cause marketing programs focused on living a healthy lifestyle and inching ever further passed the $7 million raised milestone. Organizations benefitting from funds raised include Feeding America, United Fresh Start Foundation and Our Military Kids.

The U.S. Department of Agriculture has imposed sanctions on Bella Fresh Houston LLC in Houston, TX, for violating the Perishable Agricultural Commodities Act. These sanctions include barring the business and the principal operators of the business from engaging in PACA-licensed business or other activities without approval from USDA.

United Fresh’s sixth annual BrandStorm event will take place online March 9-11.
