The Canadian Produce Marketing Association said exhibit space for the 2022 CPMA Convention and Trade Show is now on sale. The 96th annual Convention and Trade Show will take place in Montreal April 5-7 at the Palais des congrés de Montréal.

This will be the first major Canadian trade show for the produce industry in two years and will feature 535 exhibit spaces with more than 250 companies from around the world.

On May 31, Charles Johnson, who began his career in vegetable sales in New Mexico in 1956, died. He was 88.

Schnuck Markets Inc. announced Ted Schnuck, currently vice president of fresh, has been named the company’s executive vice president of supermarkets. Dave Peacock, president and chief operating officer since May 2017, will transition back to the company’s board of directors in October, following his acceptance of a new role with Continental Grain Co.
