Sbrocco International launches new website
Sbrocco International Inc., the well-known produce importer and distributor headquartered in Mt. Laurel, NJ, has launched a new website to provide a wealth of information quickly and efficiently to its customers.
The new site (www.sbrocco.com) was launched in early November, according to Maclaren Oglesby, sales manager at the company, who led the team in developing the new website.
Asked why the company decided to develop the new site, Oglesby replied Friday, Nov. 13, "We felt it was necessary to meet our customers where they are, and how they want to receive information -- on their time. Everyone is time starved. Therefore, we wanted to make what we do and how we can help our customers be simple to find. Additionally, we wanted to make our team more personal, available and able to connect with our customers."
Concerning the focus of the new website, Oglesby said, "Starting with the end user in mind, we worked it back to our core group of customers: retailers. They need to know what, when, where and how we import for them. They wear many hats at work: procurement, margin, sales, shrink, expectations. To that end, here is what we do and what you should expect from us. And if we're not familiar with each other, the site should provide context, history and opportunity for the future."
The company executive added, "We really value the visual experience of the site, as we are able to showcase actual pictures of our fruit. Additionally, the site provides an opportunity to meet our team digitally. Most of all, though, a simple but effective feature is a produce purchasing guide to assist with growing regions and times by commodity, which is available for download."
The target audience of the new site is "the retail category leadership at all levels," said Oglesby. "As we grow with our current customers and interface with prospective customers, we needed an accurate digital representation of our brand, and we feel this met the mark. Whether you're on your computer, tablet or phone, this site is for you."
As an long-time importer with a strong focus on Chilean fruit, Sbrocco International specifically chose this time of the year to launch the site. "Import grapes are one of our most influential categories," he stated. "This was the right time to launch, considering it is 'go time' for import grapes and because we have the greatest reach during this season. But more importantly, it is an exciting time to be at Sbrocco. We are growing and doing it the right way. We have brought on new staff and have extended the depth and reach of our core categories, while doing it with the customer trust and satisfaction as our guide. Simply put, the customer is the equity of our company."
While Oglesby led the effort in the project, others played key roles as well. "It was a total team effort, with Christine Sillars and Jody Cortellessa doing a ton of work in the background," he said. "They spearheaded grower conversations and product inquiries, and helped put all of the puzzle pieces together with our site design team."
The company has been working on this important project for some time. "It took the better part of a year to get here, and we are thrilled with the result," Oglesby said with pride. "The site provides a simple, one-stop portfolio review of who we are, but most importantly, how we can serve our customers. Sbrocco was built on customer trust and confidence, and the site delivers on both of those values. We are excited to share this news with our current and new customers."
