United Natural Foods Inc. released its selling show schedule for 2024. As part of UNFI’s mission to help customers and suppliers win in the marketplace, all of its selling shows will now showcase the full spectrum of products and services that better aligns with customer buying behavior, instead of focusing shows exclusively on natural and organic or conventional products. These new shows will support both the natural and conventional supplier as well as all grocery retail customer channels and positioning.

Keenan Farms Inc. promoted Mitchell Keenan to vice president. In his new capacity, Keenan’s role will be expanded to overseeing all operations of the company, with particular emphasis on export sales.

Since graduating from Fresno State with a degree in agricultural business, Keenan has worked diligently at Keenan Farms, gaining experience in domestic and export sales, farming operations, processing and project management, including Keenan Farms’ latest plant expansion project.

Two recent product launches have shown how AI is changing food processing. James French, head of innovation at TOMRA Fresh Food, part of TOMRA Food, said AI is already adding value and its importance will grow.
