Oxnard, CA-based Mission Produce has heavy volume of avocados coming from Peru, with good supplies expected throughout the summer.

In her latest Farm Star Fave video, Mary Blackmon, founder of Farm Star Living, a national lifestyle online brand promoting the farm-to-everything movement, said Mission has been growing avocados on 2,500 acres on the coast of Peru since 2012.

Last week Mission announced the completion of construction on its latest ripe center, which is based in Calgary and will service customers in western Canada with ripe fruit throughout the year. The Calgary facility is the third ripe center the company opened this year -- after opening centers in Europe and China.

Mission currently operates 11 company-owned centers around the world, with plans to continue to grow globally.
