PMA hosts sold-out Fresh Connections event in Charlotte

The Produce Marketing Association brought its Fresh Connections series to Charlotte earlier this month, where shopping habits of consumers were explored by a capacity crowd of industry professionals.

(Photos by John Niblock)The Fresh Connections Retail: Charlotte conference was held April 9-10 and drew a sold out crowd of 118 people from 24 U.S. states and Canada, including a strong showing of floral suppliers and retail executives.

Featured speakers were Lorna Christie, a former executive vice president and chief operating officer at the PMA, who now heads her own consulting firm in Delaware; and Carisa Miklusak, chief executive officer of tMedia, a consulting firm in New York that specializes in emerging social media.

PMA's next Fresh Connections conference in the United States will be held June 11-12 in San Diego, CA.
